What sort of hardware / network do we need for Easy FM?

The minimum requirement is: Pentium 166MHZ, 64Mb RAM, 250Mb Hard Disk Space, SVGA 800 x 600 Resolution. Easy FM is fully network compatible and will work on any network configuration.

Can we install the system ourselves?

Easy FM is easy to install. Just put the CD in the drive and follow the on screen prompts.

We have a mixture of operating systems, is this a problem?

Easy FM will run on any 32bit Windows operating system, i.e 95 to XP (but not 3.1).

What sort of printers do I need?

For general printing e.g. job sheets and reports, an A4 laserjet is best. We do not recommend inkjets as they are too slow. A dot-matrix printer setup for quadruplicate fan-fold letter size continuous is recommended for the printing of purchase orders.

How much work is there setting up the system for our needs?

Easy FM is very easy to setup. Once you have entered local details such as building names and personnel, an asset is registered as soon as you select the asset description from the asset reference library. You do not have to link each asset to task descriptions, trades, priorities, estimated times etc. as this is done automatically.

Can we transfer data from our old system?

Probably not directly as data table structures differ between systems. Depending upon cicumstances you can produce an interface to accomplish this or we could do it for you as a service. Alternatively, you might like to take the ooportunity of cleaning up your old data so your new system will be accurate, rationalised, optimised and efficient. In this case we don't recommend transferring old data as Easy Fm takes so little time to setup afresh.

How long does Easy FM take to learn?

Two days training is sufficient for most people, even those who claim not to be computer literate. This is because Easy FM is very user-friendly and easy to understand. Training can be undertaken on site or in our dedicated training centre. For details of services and pricing click here.

What level of support do you provide?

Easy FM is very stable and reliable. Most support calls are of the 'can you remind me...' type, that can be dealt with over the phone. The Easy FM telephone support lines are manned Monday to Friday between 8.30 and 5.30. You can also email queries to support@easy-fm.co.uk.
